Result Preparation Process
The result preparation process begins with evaluating the candidates’ answer sheets, followed by the normalization of scores to ensure fairness, as the exam is conducted in multiple shifts. After calculating the final scores, candidates are compared against the category-wise cut-off marks the commission sets. Those who meet or exceed the cut-off are included in the merit list and ranked based on their performance. The finalized result and the merit list are then published online, listing the qualified candidates eligible for the next stage of the selection process.

Merit List
The merit list is based on how well candidates perform in the exam. Scores are adjusted to account for differences across various shifts. After evaluating the answer sheets, only candidates who meet or exceed the cut-off marks are included in the merit list. Candidates are ranked by their scores, with higher scores leading to better positions on the list.
Being on the merit list is important because it determines who can move to the next stage, including the Tier 2 exam. Candidates with higher ranks have a better chance of getting their desired job. If a candidate’s name isn’t on the list, they won’t be able to continue, so doing well in Tier 1 is very important.
