Punjab Police Constable CBT I Examination Overview
- The CBT 1 examination was held online.
- The exam was held for a total of two hours and was conducted in two papers.
- It consisted of 100 questions.
- Each question had one mark, making the exam worth 100 marks.
- There was no negative marking for incorrect answers.
Result Preparation Process
The examination authority follows a systematic process for result preparation. First, the provisional answer key is released shortly after the exam, allowing candidates to raise objections if they find discrepancies. Once all objections are reviewed, a final solution key is published. The candidates’ answer sheets are evaluated based on this finalized key.
The merit list is prepared after the evaluation, featuring candidates who meet or exceed the cut-off marks for their respective categories. This merit list is crucial as it determines the candidates eligible for the next stages of recruitment, including physical tests and document verification.
Minimum Qualifying Marks for CBT 1
Candidates from Scheduled Caste (SC), Backward Class (BC), Economically Weaker Section (EWS), and Ex-servicemen categories must score at least 35% in Paper-I to qualify for the next stage. Candidates from all other categories must secure a minimum of 40% in the same paper.
In Paper II, which is essential for the Punjabi Language qualification, all candidates must obtain at least 50% marks post-normalization to proceed further. Failing to meet the 50% requirement in Paper II will result in disqualification, regardless of the candidate’s performance in Paper I.
It is important to note that while Paper II is a mandatory qualifying exam, the marks scored in it will not contribute to the candidate’s overall merit score in the final selection process
Punjab Police Constable Cut-Off Marks
The cut-off marks are the minimum scores candidates need to move on to the next round of the selection process. These scores differ based on the candidate’s category (like General, SC, or OBC) and gender (male or female). Each year, the cut-off can change depending on things like the number of applicants, the difficulty of the exam, and how well candidates perform overall.
Here are the expected cut-off marks:
