Educational Qualification
- Diploma Trainee (Electrical): Full-time diploma in Electrical Engineering (or related fields) with a minimum of 70% marks for General/OBC/EWS candidates. Pass marks are required for SC/ST/PwBD candidates.
- Diploma Trainee (Civil): Full-time diploma in Civil Engineering with a minimum of 70% marks for General/OBC/EWS candidates. Pass marks apply to SC/ST/PwBD candidates.
- Junior Officer Trainee (HR): Bachelor’s degree (BBA/BBM/BBS) with 60% marks. Postgraduate qualifications are not eligible.
- Junior Officer Trainee (F&A): Inter CA/Inter CMA qualifications. Postgraduate candidates are not eligible.
- Assistant Trainee (F&A): Bachelor’s in Commerce (B.Com.) with 60% marks. Higher qualifications are not allowed.
Age Limit
Only Indian citizens who are 18 years or older can apply. The maximum age required for applicants is 27 as of November 12, 2024. Age relaxation is applicable as follows: OBC candidates get a relaxation of 3 years, SC/ST candidates receive 5 years, and PwBD candidates are eligible for a 10-year relaxation.
Registration Fee
Candidates can pay the application fee online through the official portal using net banking, debit/credit cards, or UPI. Applicants must ensure that the payment is completed successfully before the deadline, as no offline payment method is accepted. The fee is non-refundable under any circumstances. The fee structure is as follows:

- Assistant Trainee (F&A): ₹200

Selection Process
The selection process involves the following stages:
- Written Test / Computer-Based Test (CBT): This is the first stage of the selection process. The Written Test / Computer-Based Test (CBT) will contain 170 questions. Candidates have to qualify for this stage to enter the next stage.
- Computer Skill Test (CST) (for applicable posts): For applicable posts, candidates will also need to take a Computer Skill Test (CST), which is qualifying in nature.
- Pre-Employment Medical Examination: All selected candidates must undergo a Pre-Employment Medical Examination to ensure they meet PGCIL’s health standards. Only medically fit candidates will be considered for employment.
